In the course of a season we typically grow about 80 different kinds of flowers and foliage. The majority  are grown from seed and include classic cottage garden favourites like snapdragons, nigella, sunflowers, cosmos and larkspur. Amongst our growing collection of perennials we count deliciously scented garden roses, and  long rows of dahlias of all shapes and colours.

Constant change rules life in the garden: as we move from season to season, different flowers take centre stage while others fade away, providing a wonderful variety of colours, shapes and textures over the year.

Our flowers are available from April to October. Also look out for our stylish handmade Christmas wreaths and festive table decorations during December, using locally coppiced willow, hedgerow greenery and evergreen offerings from the Gillyflower garden.

Bettina Davies and Trevor Allan Davies

Bettina has arrived at flower-growing via a successful career as a dancer and choreographer.

Descended from green-fingered ancestors, the gardening genes finally won out, resulting in Bettina studying horticulture and training in an organic market garden in South London.

Gillyflower, run by Bettina and Trevor Davies,

is a labour of love that grew out of our interest in organic gardening.  We started with an allotment, growing food and a few flowers… and soon found ourselves with just under an acre of flower garden!

All of our blooms are grown to organic principles, resulting in cutting gardens teeming with birds, bees and beneficial insects.
